Master Chocolatier In The Making
Hidden away in a side street in Hackney is 'My Chocolate'. I ventured to their studio last weekend as a gift to my mum for her birthday and a girly day out, to learn the art of chocolate making.

Truffles
With our chocolate buttons drying, we moved to our next challenge – making ganache! A new one for me, soon to be the centre of our truffles, yum!
Once our truffles were piped in to sections, we were taught to roll and dip them. Then we were given free time to make them look as beautiful (presentable!) as possible.

Chocolate Button
It is often difficult to find original gifts for special occasions, so what better than some creative chocolate making!?
Upon arrival we were met with tables laden with toppings, marshmallows and all the necessary utensils. After a small introduction, John showed us how to make our own giant chocolate button. We were given time to design our own and put in to practice the skills we had just been taught, before putting them to one side to dry.
